The Role of a Male Aboriginal Health Worker is to engage fathers, their children, and young people in health services. This vital role aims to ensure they access essential healthcare and receive the care they need.

  • Cultural Liaison: Establish strong relationships with Aboriginal clients and act as a cultural liaison between them and health services.

Requirements:

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, you will require:

  • Experience: Proven experience working with Aboriginal men and young people is essential.
  • Education: A willingness to pursue further qualifications in Cert IV in Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
  • Skills: Ability to accurately use Microsoft Office products and data entry programs.
