Job Title

Community Health Services Trainer and Resource Developer

This role involves developing and leading students in learning activities to successfully meet the competency requirements of the course.

The position requires provision of support and feedback to students during the course, observation and assessment of student competency and performance according to course requirements, and development of engaging and compliant learning and assessment resources.

Current training packages include CHC33021 - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability), CHC43015 - Certificate IV in Ageing Support, and short courses such as HLTHPS007: Administer and Monitor Medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead students in learning activities to meet course competency requirements and support student progress.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and assess student competency and performance according to course requirements.
  • Develop engaging, compliant learning and assessment resources for delivery and assessment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified in a relevant field at least to the level of the course you are teaching.
  • TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • Course resource and assessment development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Aged Care or Disability Support Worker roles.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to engage, lead, mentor and encourage students in classroom and clinical environments.
  • Ability to validate assessment items and judgments.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to manage student matters in academic and non-academic issues.
  • Experience working with student management systems.
  • Understanding of Smart and Skilled (NSW Government subsidised training) contract requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years current teaching or facilitation experience.
