The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Payroll Validation to join our Global Business Services team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and governance of payroll controls and processes, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Develop and implement payroll controls and validations for each pay run.
- Provide technical payroll advice, including investigation and resolution of complex payroll enquires and escalations.
- Identify and manage payroll compliance and risk, including improvement projects.
- Provide assistance and coaching to other team members and stakeholders, specifically our outsourced partners.
- Support the open communication, collaboration, sharing of ideas and information within the GBS HR teams and BHP.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Extensive experience in SAP payroll applications and SpinifexIT Easy Reporter.Deep technical knowledge of Australian and global payroll regulations.Strong understanding of payroll compliance and risk and ability to prioritise execution and improvement based on both value and risk.Strong project management skills and ability to lead and execute projects as well as drive execution and improvement initiatives to completion.Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work collaboratively across all internal and external teams.Strong influencing skills to work collaboratively with our payroll administrator and other external vendors, as required, to continually improve operational performance, capability and context building within their delivery.Promote a culture of customer value and continuous improvement.Lead and influence team members by providing a clear vision, context and objectives to solve problems and deliver outcomes.Excel at coaching and mentoring team members, focussed on their personal development and wellbeing.Attention to detail, good analytical, investigative and problem solving skills.About Our ProcessBHP is committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
