Data Platform Engineer

Novon seeks a highly skilled professional to join their connected data community as an AWS data platform engineer.
This is a unique opportunity to work on enterprise data platforms for iconic clients, assisting organisations in successfully building, developing and deploying data-driven decisions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, and AWS EMR, with a strong background in data migration projects, particularly from Cloudera to AWS native data services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement efficient data migration strategies using HMS and Glue.
- Ensure seamless integration of data across various platforms and services, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in building out incident response plans and resilience documentation for knowledge transfer and use in platform certification.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Extensive experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, and Athena.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
