Senior Podiatrist Role in Community Healthcare

The Department of Health Tasmania's Podiatry North team requires a skilled Senior Podiatrist to join their multidisciplinary team. This role will focus on addressing the foot health needs of vulnerable populations and contributing to the formulation of objectives, policies, and priorities for community healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team to assess podiatry needs, especially for those at risk of amputation, deformity, and pain.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate community-based programs to address podiatric needs.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver flexible primary health care programs in response to local needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, quality assurance, and relevant research projects.
  • Maintain safe working environments and ensure compliance with work health and safety policies.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in podiatric practice.
  • Ability to develop unique programs addressing highlighted foot health and well-being issues.
