The Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing water supply networks. Responsibilities include operating equipment, conducting repairs, and ensuring compliance with water quality, environmental, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Operating and maintaining water and sewer assets to ensure reliable services.
- Providing exceptional customer service during service disruptions.
- Logging and reporting service updates and maintenance actions using an in-house system.
- Ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and organisational policies.
- Continuously improving processes and contributing ideas to enhance operations.
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers.
This is a 24/7 operational role, with all Infrastructure Maintenance Specialists working on a rotating roster which includes weekday, weekend, and on-call shifts.
Skills & Experience Required- A strong focus on customer satisfaction and effective communication skills to resolve inquiries efficiently.
- Experience in practical, hands-on work in operational environments within utilities or similar industries.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to safety and a positive work culture.
- Relevant qualifications such as Cert III in Network Operations (desired but not essential).
- Licenses such as First Aid, Confined Space, or Forklift certification (preferred but not essential).
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence (required).
