AWS Network Technician, Infrastructure Delivery Operations

AWS is looking to hire a highly skilled and motivated Network Field Technician to join the growing team within infrastructure delivery. This full-time position will have you working with internal customers, vendors, and coordinating regional resources to promote smooth project execution in association with Technical Program managers.

The role responsibilities will include scaling support of data center locations and being responsible for day-to-day assistance with capacity management. Key job responsibilities include:

  • Installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software, and fiber connectivity with a proven project delivery methodology;
  • Perform cabling, labeling, certification, and patching of server positions to network equipment;
  • Perform inventory of onsite tools and materials;
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and roll-out of new or upgraded network hardware.

A normal day involves working inside a data center installing network equipment and cables, managing vendors, and negotiating deadlines with program managers. You will be responsible for running multiple projects at the same time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
