Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Development Specialist to join our team. As an Early Childhood Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of children aged 0-9 years on the NDIS through our 360 Kids program.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality care and support under a key worker model, working closely with families to deliver tailored goals and therapy plans. This may involve collaborating with a national team of allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Supports: Act as the primary liaison for families using the Key Worker model, providing regular updates and progress reports.
  • Provide Early Intervention: Support children aged 0-9 on the NDIS through National 360's 360 Kids program, utilizing a family-centred approach to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Build Trusted Partnerships: Develop and implement tailored goals and therapy plans in partnership with families, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Work in Diverse Settings: Provide services in-home, in community settings (e.g. childcare centres), and at local clinics, adapting to meet the changing needs of children and families.
  • Collaborate with Professionals: Work alongside a national team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Behaviour Support Practitioners to deliver seamless support.
  • Support Child Development: Assist children to build skills across developmental areas such as communication, motor skills, daily routines, behaviour, and play, promoting independence and confidence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Disability Studies, or Social Work or Allied Health.
  • At least 1 year experience in Early Intervention or as a Key Worker in the private or public sector.
  • Experience with the NDIS is highly valued.
  • Registration with the relevant governing body.
  • Access to your own vehicle and a current driver's licence.
  • An NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check.
