Key Role Overview

The Executive Manager, Corporate Services is a critical leadership position responsible for leading a team of professionals in providing high-quality finance, business improvement and ICT services to an organisation. The role involves enabling the team to perform their functions effectively and efficiently through the provision of robust business processes and systems.

This key role is part of the Executive Leadership Team and involves:

  • Enabling the team to operate with autonomy by establishing clear governance structures;
  • Meeting the requirements of all relevant legislative, financial, reporting and compliance requirements;
  • Providing executive-level leadership to the Corporate Services team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of budgets and business planning processes;
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and regulations;
  • Leading internal and external financial reporting, management and compliance functions;
  • Implementing a robust risk management and internal control framework;
  • Sustaining best practice in grant, contract and project management;
  • Driving ICT strategies aligned to business needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, plus CPA/CA membership;
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to energise teams around the purpose, provide clear and consistent direction, and inspire high performance;
  • Outstanding stakeholder skills, with the ability to build effective relationships;
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with and optimising a range of ICT systems;
  • The ability to combine strategic financial management with hands-on aspects and a preparedness to roll-up your sleeves to contribute more broadly to the organisation.
