We are seeking a driven Senior Mining Engineer to lead our team at Northern Star Resources.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Drill and Blast, Ventilation & Infrastructure Engineers. In the absence of the Alternate Underground Manager, they will be required to fill this role.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing functional work plans for the Mining Department to ensure production and strategic requirements are met.
  • Reviewing and approving production drilling and charging plans.
  • Conceptualizing, initiating, presenting, and implementing specific improvement projects including infrastructure projects for productivity and profitability gains.
  • Coordinating and managing the stope reconciliation process and generating internal reporting records.
  • Preparing end-of-month summaries and reports and other measures to enable good management of the mine and mining contract.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Expertise and Accomplishments:

A Degree in Mining Engineering and a First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (or the ability to acquire it). Strong working knowledge in underground hard rock mining with comprehensive practicality in production, mine planning, and project management.
