Job Summary


Litter Prevention Role

This is a temporary 3-year position that involves managing litter prevention initiatives in alignment with Council's Litter Prevention Plan, Waste & Resource Recovery Strategy 2032, and Operational Plan. The role requires effective solutions for litter prevention and waste management challenges.


About the Job

The successful candidate will have proven experience in implementing and managing project plans, including stakeholder engagement and data analysis. They will be responsible for collecting and reporting data to support program evaluation and decision-making. Additionally, they will need to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of local government processes and systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement litter prevention initiatives in alignment with Council's plans.
  • Engage and partner with community groups to promote behaviour change and reduce littering.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Produce accurate reports on program performance and outcomes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Waste Management, Behaviour Change, Local Government, Education, or a related field.
  • Class C Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
