We are seeking a proactive and innovative Litter Prevention Specialist to join our community.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a temporary, three-year part-time position based in Windsor NSW, working 24 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective litter prevention initiatives to reduce littering in the Hawkesbury region.

About You

You will have experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and waste management. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and a Class C Driver's Licence are also essential.

Essential Criteria
  • Project management skills, including planning, implementation, and performance monitoring, with a focus on achieving sustainable outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working collaboratively with government agencies, business, and community groups to deliver positive results.
  • Able to collect, analyse, and report data to support program evaluation and decision-making, ensuring that programs are evidence-based and effective.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated ability to manage data, reporting, and presentations, enhancing the impact of your work.
  • Demonstrated understanding of local government processes, services, and systems, enabling you to navigate complex environments effectively.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Bachelors or Masters) in Business, Environmental Science, Waste Management, Behaviour Change, Local Government, Education, or a related field, underpinning your expertise in this area.
