About the Role:

  • The Community Engagement Coordinator will work with social housing tenants and communities to strengthen connections and empower tenants to become involved in their local community.">
  • The role involves leading the planning and facilitation of community engagement events, and supporting the operation of local tenant groups.">
  • Ongoing activities include tenant surveys, workshops, project planning, management of social media, reporting, and other engagement activities.">

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Develop and implement community-focused strategies and initiatives that promote social inclusion and community cohesion.">
  3. Build and maintain effective relationships with tenants, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify community needs and develop solutions.">
  4. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate community events, programs, and services that promote social connection and community empowerment.">
  5. Support the development and implementation of tenant-led projects and initiatives that address community needs and priorities.">
  6. Maintain accurate records and reports on community engagement activities, outcomes, and progress.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience delivering community-focused outcomes for customers of diverse backgrounds and vulnerabilities.">
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regularly to sites and offices.">
  • Ability to use community development tools to develop community activities and services.">
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, organisational and time management, prioritising and planning, communication, and digital literacy.">
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective community services.">
