Job Title: Front End Operations Manager
About the RoleThis is a supervisory position responsible for overseeing daily operations in the Front End department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and participate in daily operations of the Front End department
- Oversee employees, coordinate activities, and maintain standards
- Promote high productivity and member service
- Perform computer duties for register system controller
- Develops, coaches, counsels, and directs Front End personnel
- Provides feedback to promote teamwork and accountability among employees
- Interactively monitors employee performance and participates in performance reviews as needed
- Works with Front End Manager in employee staffing and maintenance; interviewing, hiring, and reviewing
- Determines number of registers needed to reduce member lines and maintain efficiency
- Covers employee tasks, timely breaks, and lunches
- Resolves issues with checkout process; verifies prices, reprints member receipts, overrides register system flags
- Responds courteously to member complaints
- Licenses/Certifications: First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain), Emergency Warden (or willing to obtain)
- Experience/Skills: Supervisory, leadership or comparable experience, Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and AS400
- Skills: Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
