About the Role

The NSW Department of Parliamentary Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Leader to join our team. As a Senior Manager, Cyber Governance and Security Operations, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of cyber security strategy, frameworks, policies, and guidelines to enable the NSW Parliament to prevent and respond to threats, safeguard its information, assets, and services, and comply with its legal and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cyber security strategy, frameworks, policies, and guidelines to ensure the NSW Parliament's information, assets, and services are protected.
  • Lead the development and implementation of security operations centre (SOC) capabilities to detect and respond to cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate cyber risks, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on cyber security matters to the NSW Parliament and its stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and vendors.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading cyber security teams and developing and implementing cyber security strategies.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, policies, and guidelines, and experience in implementing them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, and to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate cyber risks.
