Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Cyber Security

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Cyber Security team at the University of New South Wales. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our Cyber Security Enablement Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed business requirements for the implementation of cyber security solutions that align with program objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive the development of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Design and develop business requirements documents, functional requirements documents, technical requirements documents, service management plans, and standard operating procedures.
  • Investigate operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, and develop effective business solutions through improvements in automated and/or process change.
  • Support procurement, design, development, implementation, testing, and acceptance activities to ensure successful delivery of cyber security solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, and communicate effectively with them to address challenges and conflicting objectives.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, from conceptual to physical design, to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with Cyber Security Operations, Identity Management, Infrastructure Operations, and Vendors to implement technical solutions.
  • Align with and demonstrate the UNSW Values in Action and the UNSW Code of Conduct.
  • Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university, and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others.
Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience in business analysis, business requirements analysis, and business process analysis using appropriate frameworks.
  • Substantial business analysis experience in cyber security domains, including Identity Governance and Administration, Active Directory, Privileged Access Management, and User Access Review and recertification procedures.
  • Strong understanding of industry-wide security standards and compliance frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Knowledge of Identity Management frameworks, including life cycle management, access management, governance, and reporting.
  • Experience in Identity Management solutions, enhancing custom connectors and workflows for IAM products, and implementing Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
  • Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise initiative, flexibility, and proactivity in developing robust solutions to problems.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced, and the ability to handle high-demand situations with management and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organization.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet competing deadlines using judgment and initiative.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
  • Experience in the University/Higher Education sector is desirable.
