Compassionate Care Specialist Wanted

Get Going Support is a leading provider of personalized care services for individuals with disabilities. Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our clients.

We are seeking a committed care specialist who possesses exceptional communication skills and a strong understanding of complex support needs.

This role provides rostered shifts that ensure stability and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in our clients' lives. We are currently looking for a care specialist to assist with daily living activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals to live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities, removing barriers and engaging in full lives. This includes:

  • Personal care, including helping with showering, dressing, and performing daily activities
  • Manual handling and hoisting
  • Assisting with light housework
  • Providing social support to individuals with disabilities and those experiencing mental health challenges
  • Supporting clients to appointments in the community
  • Providing therapy assistance to support the implementation of physical, speech, occupational therapy, and psychological plans and strategies
  • Supporting individuals to develop and build self-confidence
  • Reviewing and updating care plans

We require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Current driver's license
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Yellow Card/NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Compulsory Comprehensive Insurance on private vehicle
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate or ability to obtain
  • Certificate III in Individual Support Disability/Aged Care or related studies (or willing to undertake)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS system
  • Sound experience in the disability or allied health/welfare/education fields
