At KBR, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our PMO team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the review of contractors' cost estimates to ensure compliance with SA Water requirements.
  • Validate the methodology, risk, and opportunity assessments to ensure they meet the necessary standards.
  • Negotiate cost adjustments with contractors to ensure value for money.
  • Report to the TOC Assurance Manager and SA Water on the review process and recommendations.
  • Manage workload to ensure timely progress of estimates from submission to award.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry with a track record of successfully winning profitable work.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and make positive contributions to team culture.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts and legal implications related to estimates and bids.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management in construction projects.
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
