Heavy Rail Plant Operator

V/Line is seeking a skilled Heavy Rail Plant Operator to join our Network Development, Assets & Maintenance Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and unloading equipment for transportation
- Maintaining and servicing heavy machinery and trucks
- Participating in the replacement of rail components and performing general maintenance and cleaning
- Ensuring all operations comply with safety standards
- Assisting the team with manual laboring tasks when not operating plant and machinery
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused individual who is eager to learn and adapt within their role. Our ideal candidate will possess a certificate II in Rail Infrastructure or be willing to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment. A valid Heavy Combination (HC) Truck License is essential, with experience loading and unloading plant. Excavator, Backhoe, and front-end loader operator experience is also required.
We offer a competitive hourly rate, 30% shift loading, 5 weeks annual leave, and fortnightly EDOs. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, be part of a collaborative team, and enjoy flexible working arrangements.
