Finance Professional for Private Property Investment

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Finance & Office Assistant to join our team at Anton Murray Consulting. As a key member of our finance team, you will provide administrative support to our Executive team, assist with daily office administration, and contribute to the financial management of our private property investment group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Team Assistant:
    • Plan and schedule meetings and appointments.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for the Executive team.
    • Draft and post social media content.
    • Provide ad hoc support to Executive Directors.
  • Finance Assistant:
    • Prepare invoices and monitor payments.
    • Process accounts payable and respond to supplier queries.
    • Ensure daily bank reconciliation.
    • Prepare and reconcile expense reports.
    • Assist with general ledger reconciliations.
    • Prepare pay runs.
    • Assist with financial accounting, reporting, and budgets.
    • Assist with the preparation of Business Activity Statements.
  • Office Manager:
    • Provide general support to office visitors and meetings.
    • Maintain the electronic filing system.
    • Coordinate functions and initiatives.
    • Update and maintain office policies and procedures.
    • Manage office operations.

Fundamental Requirements:

  • Prior experience in the property industry is highly attractive.
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields are looked upon favourably.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Experience with bookkeeping.
  • Prior bookkeeping experience and familiarity with accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

This is a full-time position, and applicants must be able to perform duties in-office. The role offers a competitive salary, commensurate with prior experience and open to negotiation.
