Job Title: Senior Site Manager

The role of a senior site manager is critical to the success of any construction project.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to lead our site team and oversee the delivery of projects from inception to completion.

  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting regular site inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, provide progress updates, and ensure satisfaction with job outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Analyse and report on project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize results.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment, to meet project demands.
  • Monitor and control costs, maintaining accurate records and reports to ensure financial transparency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and processes within the organisation, sharing expertise and knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Proven experience in site management, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Project.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites as required.
