Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform industrial maintenance, machine repair, and preventative maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in machinery and equipment operation, as well as diagnostic and repair skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of Machinery and Equipment: Perform routine inspections and tests to detect malfunctions, and carry out repairs as needed.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Identify unusual sounds or vibrations from machines or equipment to diagnose problems and discuss operational variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers.
  • Repair and Replacement of Parts: Disassemble defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired parts.
  • Cleaning and Lubrication: Clean and lubricate moving parts, such as shafts, bearings, gears, and other components.
  • Electrical and Plumbing Systems: Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and lay out, assemble, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Physical Structure Maintenance: Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility.
  • Automated Machinery: Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment, such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Machine Tools: Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines, to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts, and fabricate and repair wooden structures.
  • Delivery: Responsible for delivering customer orders using a box truck.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience, including machine repair and preventative maintenance. Prior experience in metal fabrication industry is a plus.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license and insurance. Clean driving record to operate company vehicle.
  • Availability: Ability to work weekdays and weekend overtime.
