Job Overview

The Asset and Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the long-term asset management strategy at our facility. This position involves driving performance, ensuring reliable energy production, and providing strategic leadership to the Asset Management function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Develop the Asset Team: Guide and mentor a high-performing team to deliver asset management strategies, technical support, and expert advice across operations, maintenance, and plant improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic Asset Management: Provide in-depth strategic advice to ensure long-term asset reliability, performance, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Implement Asset Strategies: Oversee corrective, preventative, process safety, and whole-life strategies to optimize asset performance while managing risk and controlling costs.
  • Outage and Project Oversight: Lead the planning, governance, and execution of major maintenance, capital projects, and planned outages, ensuring risks are effectively managed, contractors and resources are coordinated, and works are delivered safely, on time, to quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree in Engineering, with post-graduate qualifications in Management or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive management and leadership experience in a complex, heavy, capital-intensive industry, with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an asset management function, preferably in heavy industry, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements across plant, safety, environment, and legislation.
