Job Title: Rolling Stock Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rolling Stock Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational performance standards of rail fleet.

This role is responsible for ensuring train performance, contract compliance, and overall commercial profitability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in improving rolling stock asset performance, whether it be light rail, passenger rail, rail maintenance, or freight/locomotive fleet.

  • Team management of a cross-functional team including engineering, maintenance, procurement, and commercial specialists.
  • Serving as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including being one of the key client representatives.
  • Overall responsibility for Profit & Loss (P&L) management.
  • Driving continuous improvement and reliability processes across the train fleet.
  • Risk management and achieving safety targets.
  • Dispute resolution and negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and managing a cross-functional team to achieve business objectives.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve train performance and reduce costs.
  • Managing contracts and vendor relationships to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in a rolling stock management position - maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience managing a P&L and leading a cross-functional team.
