Job Description

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist Grade 1 or 2 to join our team in Child & Youth Mental Health. The successful candidate will work with children and young people aged 12-26 years experiencing emotional, behavioral and mental health difficulties and their families. The role involves clinical assessment and intervention, case-management and single session/brief therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Provide discipline specific consultation and assessment to clients and clinical services internal and external to Alfred Health.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the needs of children and young people and their families.

The position sits within the general sector team, which provides clinical assessment and intervention, case-management and single session/brief therapy with children and young people aged 12-26 years experiencing emotional, behavioral and mental health difficulties and their families.

Requirements
  • Approved tertiary qualifications and membership with the Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA.
  • Developmental Psychiatry Course or equivalent (preferred).
  • Training and experience in providing child and youth mental health services (preferred).
