Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will ensure a high level of community safety by spearheading the coordination and delivery of approved programs to offenders.

Your responsibilities include participating in planning activities, co-facilitating programs, administering assessments, and monitoring progress. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of prisoners, shaping their futures through guidance and support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Co-facilitate general, violence, and sexual offending programs to prisoners, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for learning and growth.
  • Administer appropriate assessments to prisoners and prepare them for offender intervention programs, utilizing expertise to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor progress of prisoners during programs and report on progress, providing actionable insights to inform future decisions.
  • Maintain knowledge of contemporary offender programs research and practices, legislation, policy, and procedures, staying ahead of industry developments.
  • Provide timely information to relevant sites regarding prisoner program participation, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Requirements:

  • Completion of Agency Supervisor and program facilitator training, equipping candidates with the necessary skills and confidence to excel in this role.
  • Ability to provide supervision in accordance with Accountability Standards and QCS supervision model/approach, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ensure the timely provision of program participation reports and advice to courts, parole boards, and other agencies, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and accountability.
