Primary Schools Improvement Educator

This role leads a cluster approach to enhancing literacy outcomes across partner primary schools, ensuring students transition to secondary school literate and well-prepared.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the SOLAR principles and practices in partner schools.
- Build and sustain a strong community of practice focused on evidence-based literacy instruction.
- Provide coaching and guidance to literacy leads and classroom teachers across the cluster.
- Expert knowledge of curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching practice.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.
- Highly skilled primary generalist or experienced literacy leader with training in explicit synthetic phonics and SOLAR practices.
The Learning Specialist will have deep knowledge and expertise in high-quality teaching and learning, delivering improved achievement, engagement, and wellbeing for students.
This role aims to build excellence in teaching and learning within the Teaching Service.
