Role Overview

We seek a skilled Network and Telecommunications Engineer to join our Monitoring business unit at Chubb's Rydalmere office in Sydney. Reporting to the Monitoring Technology Group Manager, you will be part of our Digital Team, ensuring the secure and high-performance operation of our networks, telephony, and applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining uninterrupted service through rapid incident resolution and high-level technical support for complex network, telephony, and enterprise application environments.
  • Implementing and documenting robust maintenance protocols to uphold system stability and data integrity.
  • Architecting and deploying scalable, secure network infrastructures that align with evolving business needs.
  • Overseeing the administration and optimization of core network systems to minimize downtime and improve performance.

Technical Expertise

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (CUCM, UCCX, CUBE) and telephony integration platforms (Cloud-based telephony platforms, MS Teams).
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and site-to-site VPN setups.
  • Thorough understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), IP addressing, and subnetting strategies.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (mandatory)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry recognised certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), are highly desirable.
