Network Control Standards and Training Officer

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a skilled Network Control Standards and Training Officer to support the delivery of training and assessment activities within the PTA's Network Control Centre. In this role, you will lead the development of training materials and courses, ensuring competency standards are maintained. You will be responsible for mentoring staff, promoting a continuous improvement culture, and identifying training needs to enhance staff performance.
This position involves working as a qualified Network Control Officer, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of rail traffic and network occupations across the PTA's Rail Network. You will collaborate with the PTA's RTO Quality and Compliance team to ensure training meets industry requirements and stay updated on relevant operational rail and learning trends.
About YouTo excel in this role, you should possess:
- Possession of or progress towards relevant qualifications, including Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TLI40921 Certificate IV in Rail Network Control, and significant operational experience in urban rail networks, including competency-based training and assessment design.
- Strong ability to lead and monitor operational activities, ensuring safety and efficiency, while driving positive cultural change in Safeworking and managing emergency situations effectively.
- Highly developed presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to provide clear direction, build relationships, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills to interpret real-time information, make sound decisions, and address the effects of incidents on the rail network efficiently under pressure.
- Satisfactory medical exams, police clearance, and possession of a valid WA driver's license, with the ability to work shifts and comply with PTA's safety and drug/alcohol policies.
