About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the smooth, safe, and customer-focused operation of our train services. As a Train Services Supervisor, you will lead on-train staff and Station Attendants, manage operational logistics, and drive improvements to ensure exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise on-train staff for the Prospector and AvonLink/MerredinLink services to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused rail operations across a seven-day work cycle.
  • Supervise the Station Attendant at East Perth, ensuring high-quality customer service and compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain staff rosters, manage en-route train services, and oversee stock control for the Prospector buffet operations.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to support them in performing their duties effectively.
  • Identify and implement improvements to operating systems, policies, and procedures, focusing on safety, customer service, and efficiency.
About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Good knowledge and relevant operational experience in a transport passenger network.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying contemporary customer service principles with prior experience in managing performance of operational personnel.
  • Relevant expertise developing and maintaining duty rosters in an operational environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including effective relationship building, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven capacity to work effectively in a team environment with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support others.
