About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to join our team as a Principal Accounting Policy Advisor. This is a critical role that requires a strong command of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the ability to translate complex accounting standards into actionable advice.

As a key member of our accounting policy team, you will be responsible for providing in-depth accounting advice on intricate and challenging financial matters. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the company, including teams in Finance, Legal, and Sustainability, as well as external auditors and regulators.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity based in one of our offices in Perth, Brisbane, or Adelaide. We are looking for a highly skilled accounting professional who thrives in environments that require deep technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

About You
  • 8-10+ years of significant financial experience.
  • Experience of working in the accounting policy/technical team in a large accounting professional services firm, providing technical advice to both audit teams and external clients.
  • Superior communication, facilitation, influencing, and interpersonal skills, essential to building constructive relationships and credibility with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Management, Finance, or Accounting degree and professional accounting designation - both required.
  • CA/CPA qualified with experience within a large, complex, and global organization.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and external reporting requirements.
