Key Role in Advanced Research and Education

This is a critical position that plays a significant role in supporting cutting-edge research and teaching activities in the field of manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain advanced manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers and injection moulding machines.
  • Oversee fabrication processes, providing support with 3D printing, silicon casting and coordinate external processes to support teaching and research outcomes.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for academic staff and students, including demonstrations and instruction on equipment use.
  • Manage laboratory operations, overseeing inventory, procurement, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • You are a hands-on professional with a relevant degree or trade qualification, experienced in operating and maintaining advanced manufacturing equipment, and passionate about supporting research and education.
  • You have hands-on experience with 3D printers, injection moulding machines, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • You are proficient in CAD/CAM software for designing and modifying components.
  • You possess strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
  • You have excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance with laboratory regulations.
  • You have excellent organisation and time management skills.
