Job Overview

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic Civil Infrastructure team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of large infrastructure projects across NSW, Australia, and the broader region.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water engineering, with experience in project management, coordination, and completion from inception to tendering and construction phase support. You will work closely with clients to deliver innovative solutions that contribute to liveable and water-sensitive cities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and complete projects from inception, including involvement in the bidding phase, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction phase support.
  • Support the growth of our water and wastewater business through delivering high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with professionals in multiple geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Coach junior professionals, providing technical direction and fostering team growth and development.

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in water engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater projects within a dynamic consulting and design environment.
  • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution.
  • Proficiency in water/wastewater process modelling software and knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality work with excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including hybrid work options, professional development opportunities, and access to industry-leading technology and thinking.
