Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill a part-time Victim Support Worker position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing face-to-face and phone support to victims of family and domestic violence, including debriefing, psycho-education, and information about FDV.
They will also provide trauma-informed, recovery-focused, and culturally safe interventions to victims, conduct safety assessments and safety planning, and make referrals and advocate on behalf of victims.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, or Counselling with relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals and families, preferably in family and domestic violence and/or trauma.
- Experience in family violence safety assessment and planning.
- Experience working in culturally safe and responsive ways with clients from Aboriginal and other diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of victim and perpetrator issues in family and domestic violence and understanding of its impact on children.
- Knowledge of current theory and practice related to family and domestic violence and trauma.
- Current National Police Clearance (valid within one year), WA Working with Children Check, and WA Driver's Licence.
