Job Description

As a CSSD Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, care, and handling of all surgical instruments, sterile stock, and equipment in line with competencies and established guidelines.

Maintaining a safe clean environment is crucial in this role, using only authorized cleaning products and adhering to infection control guidelines.

Demonstrate knowledge of all CSSD Australian Standards, ensuring compliance and quality standards are maintained.

Effective communication lines and teamwork/collaboration within the CSSD and operating theatres are essential for success in this role.

Act as a technical resource for CSSD staff and other departments, providing appropriate support and advice to ensure safe standards are maintained.

Oversee the delivery of high-standard, evidence-based sterilization services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Sterilization Services.
  • Preferably Certificate IV.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in CSSD Supervisory role.
  • Ability to teach within the CSSD and related areas.
  • Able to coordinate, liaise, and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team members.
