Custom Furniture Maker Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Custom Furniture Maker to join our team in a community-driven workshop. As a Custom Furniture Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, custom furniture using traditional and modern techniques.

About the Role
  • This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small decorative pieces to large-scale commercial furniture.
  • You will have the chance to work with a range of materials, including wood, metal, and other sustainable resources.
Key Responsibilities
  • Craft stunning, custom furniture that meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Interpret architectural and technical drawings to bring designs to life.
  • Manage timelines and collaborate with the broader team to deliver projects.
Requirements
  • Trade qualifications in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, Shopfitting, or Furniture Making.
  • Five years of hands-on experience in furniture production and finishing.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to mentor a team of trainees.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • OH&S White Card, NT Driver's License (or ability to obtain), and willingness to travel.
