Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Steward to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and attend to guest needs and desires immediately.
  • Work in the kitchen as directed on a daily basis, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times, minimizing wastage.
  • Assist with cleaning duties and responsibilities, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to an environment of learning and professionalism, maintaining self-appearance according to hotel grooming standards.
  • Maintain harmonious relationships with other members of the service team, complying with hotel operational policies and procedures.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of and practice occupational health and safety guidelines (OH&S).

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Adaptability to changing situations and priorities.
