Job Overview

The role of Finance and Risk Manager is a critical position within a leading organization. This individual will be responsible for leading the operation and strategic oversight of finance, including revenue and expenditure management, as well as risk functions.

The team responsible for managing revenues for over 800 Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes across Victoria will report to this manager. They will also oversee expenditure governance and manage risks relevant to the department's SDA provision.

This senior role identifies, analyses, prioritises and treats risks, including interface with the organisation's risk management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an advanced knowledge of current best practice in financial management and services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant rules and legislation particularly with respect to revenue claiming and receipts.
  • Routinely provide authoritative, expert advice to senior leadership on revenue and expenditure policy, risks, trends including options and recommendations for decision-making.
