Unlocking Climate Action as a Digital Engagement Leader

At Greenpeace, we're on a mission to drive lasting change for people and the planet. As an Engagement Lead, you'll join a passionate global movement that sparks action, holds decision-makers accountable, and inspires positive change.

Our Key Priorities
  • Tackling climate change by stopping emissions from fossil fuel extraction at source
  • Protecting nature, including our oceans and forests, by addressing environmental destruction

As part of our team of digital experts, creatives, social media specialists, and campaigners, you'll expose environmental crimes, hold companies and governments to account, promote climate solutions, and inspire others to create meaningful impact.

The Role

As Engagement Lead, you'll develop strategic approaches to engage supporters beyond traditional petitions, driving them from interest to action, leadership, and advocacy. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering ambitious digital engagement strategies across multiple national and global campaigns
  • Collaborating with teams to align engagement across channels
  • Mentoring a small team of Digital Campaigners to enhance GPAP's digital capacity
  • Monitoring and analysing engagement metrics to grow our supporter base and deepen impact
  • Staying at the forefront of digital campaigning, driving experimentation and innovation

This is a leadership role working across the organisation, ensuring coordinated, impactful, and inspiring digital engagement.

Requirements

You're a seasoned digital strategist who thrives where creativity meets data analysis. You have experience in leading teams, mentoring colleagues, and collaborating across diverse disciplines. Strong online community engagement skills are essential, along with UX expertise, content creation abilities, and analytical thinking.

A minimum of 4 years' experience in digital engagement, fundraising, or marketing is required, including social media strategy, email journeys, and online-to-offline mobilisation. A deep understanding of audience engagement, data analysis, and content creation is also crucial.
