About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Relations and Sustainability Specialist to drive our group's relations with government agencies and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with our business objectives.
  • Advocate for the interests of our customers, employees, and shareholders in the sustainability sphere, fostering strong relationships with government officials and policymakers.
  • Monitor government policies and regulations related to sustainability and retail areas, ensuring our strategies remain aligned with current legislation.
  • Liaise with regulators and industry associations to promote best practices in sustainability and mitigate potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Passion for driving positive change and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
  • In-depth understanding of Australian government processes, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in navigating complex regulatory environments.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on developing innovative solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as sustainability, environmental science, law, politics, or public affairs.
