Medical Specialist in Anaesthesia

Our organisation is seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Anaesthetist) to deliver anaesthetic services and contribute to the success of our team at Mount Isa Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality anaesthetic services to patients, prioritising their safety and well-being.
- Develop clinical interests within anaesthesia, including obstetrics and regional care, to drive service improvements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to support continued excellence in healthcare delivery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and foster a culture of teamwork.
- Demonstrate expertise in epidurals for delivery suite and anaesthesia for obstetrics, ensuring patient satisfaction and safe care.
- Hold a Scope of Practice in paediatric anaesthesia, covering patients aged 5 years and younger, and demonstrate the ability to apply this expertise effectively.
- Show interest or experience in Intensive Care management of patients, highlighting the importance of effective patient care.
- Highlight any experience in regional anaesthesia and acute and/or chronic pain management, showcasing skills and knowledge.
- Possess a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) qualification and current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Maintain relevant tertiary degree qualifications and necessary registrations/licences, adhering to professional standards.
