Job Title: Maintenance Electrician/Fitter

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician/Fitter to join our team in a key role within the maintenance function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of preventative maintenance diagnosis and breakdown works, as well as assisting with new equipment builds and re-builds and refurbishment of major production machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the Maintenance Coordinator daily to prioritise and plan jobs.
  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs and re-builds to equipment throughout the entire site.
  • Carrying out Easter and Christmas shutdowns.
  • Completing paperwork/documentation as necessary.
  • Assisting external contractors as directed to carry out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the entire site and work with them on specific jobs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility as an electrician or electrical fitter in a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical Fitter, Electrician or relevant trade or engineering qualification is essential.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Aptitude for problem solving and experience in diagnosis of electrical motors, heaters, actuators, PLCs and related issues.
  • Commitment to excellent Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and practice.
  • Fitter: 1 year (preferred)
  • Order Picking Forklift Licence (preferred)
  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
  • Driver Licence (preferred)
  • Australia Work Authorisation (preferred)
