Role Overview

As a Community Playgroup Facilitator with Big Fat Smile Group LTD, you will be working within our community programs team to deliver playgroups and other supports to families. This role involves building quality relationships with children and families to provide a welcoming environment and taking a flexible approach to ensure you meet families where they are at on their parenting journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the community programs team to deliver playgroups and other supports to families.
  • Build quality relationships with children and families to provide a welcoming environment.
  • Take a flexible approach to ensure you meet families where they are at on their parenting journey.
  • Provide modelling and support around early childhood development.

Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education.
  • Outstanding skills in communication with families.
  • Skills to collaborate and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to model effective early childhood practice.
  • Working knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Evidence of commitment to an inclusive curriculum.
  • Ability to follow WH&S and other policies.
  • Knowledge of the ECEC sector.
  • Experience providing playgroups (desirable).
  • Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian.
  • Maintain a current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Identify and respond to children at risk certificate (desirable).
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate.
  • A valid driver's licence.
