Our finance graduate role is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team and gain valuable experience in financial management. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a vital role in providing effective support to the finance function, gaining a wide range of experience through exposure to different finance functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking on responsibilities within Credit Control, Stock Management Process, Weekly Reports for Senior Management, and Management Accounts, as well as gaining experience in Purchase Ledger, T&A System Functions and Purchasing as part of a rotation start to the programme, and further as cover work for others where required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Play a key part in the Credit Control function, helping the business bring cash into the business
  • Take charge of the business stock take process, organising the weekly and monthly stock takes, ensuring accuracy and improving process
  • Supporting the Health and Safety Officer and Buyer with the PPE Vending Machine usage, monitoring stock levels and employee usage
  • Have responsibility for key weekly reports to Senior Managers within the division
  • Support with the month end process via the completion of reports such as the Aged Debtors report
  • Project work primarily based around financial and system controls following the recent implementation of a new ERP system - initially helping with these projects before eventually taking charge of projects with support from the Finance Manager where required
  • Gain an understanding of the Purchase Ledger function through a rotation programme and offer support and cover where needed
  • Gain an understanding of the T&A system through a rotation programme and offer support and cover where needed
  • Gain an understanding of the Buyers responsibilities through a rotation programme and offer support and cover where needed
  • Assisting with Year End Accounts and external audit through the provision of formatted data requested by the auditors
Requirements
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish team goals and objectives
  • Computer literate, including a high proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with key accounting concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Desire to learn and improve not only themselves but also current process
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Relevant degree at a 2:1 or above
  • Can do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Work experience, particularly in an office environment, would be advantageous
