Senior Accountant Role

About this role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and contribute to the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports.

In this role, you will play a key part in enabling our organisation's next phase of growth. Our organisation is committed to providing learning and development opportunities for all our team members, ensuring that you would have the resources and training to support you on this journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
  2. Work with partners to provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
  3. Assist with staff training, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
  4. Lead and review the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
  5. Lead and review the preparation of BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
  6. Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  7. Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
  8. Help provide exceptional service to our clients
About You:
  • 4+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting Practice
  • Chartered Accountant qualification or in progress
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
  • Expertise in accounting software, including MYOB AE, HowNow, Active Ledger, MYOB, and Xero
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Committed to providing exceptional service to our clients
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic
