About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated home care assistant to join our team in the Toowoomba area. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote the independence of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with domestic tasks, social interactions, community access, and personal care to enhance their quality of life.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping them maintain their physical and mental well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated paid experience in a community setting (aged care, disability support, mental health, etc.)
- A valid driver's license and access to your own comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (recommended)
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including personal care and domestic assistance
- Certificate III/IV in Disability, Individual Support, or similar
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Accredited medication unit (HLTHPS006 - Assist Clients with Medication)
