About the Role

Melba Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Sale. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with high support needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement support plans tailored to each individual's needs, preferences, and interests
  • Provide daily living support, including personal care, mealtime assistance, and household duties
  • Aid individuals to participate in community activities, social events, and appointments
  • Promote personal choice and control for the individuals in your care
  • Administer medication and provide medical support as needed
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV in Disability (desirable, but not mandatory)
  • A passion for enabling and working with people with disabilities
  • Desire for meaningful work and comfort in providing daily living support
  • Willingness to learn new skills and undertake ongoing training
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and individuals
