Key Role in Workforce Planning

The position of Workforce Planning Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing the preplanning process for all airports, ensuring that fatigue, safety, operational, and customer plans are effectively in place.

This leadership role involves leading a team on a rotating roster basis to achieve these objectives. It is crucial to note that this position is highly focused on coordinating responses to disruptions affecting airport operations.

The candidate must have strong background in workforce planning, including day-of-operations pre-planning and allocation. A demonstrated experience in managing large teams and their performance is also essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively at all levels, are critical in this role. The candidate must be able to make sound resource decisions and possess strong planning and problem-solving skills.

A proactive approach, innovative thinking, and a lateral mindset are required to excel in this position. Additionally, the candidate should have solid experience working in an operational environment and expertise in disruption management.

Strong organisational skills, prioritising tasks to meet strict deadlines, are vital in this role. A hunger to achieve, self-motivation, and drive for continuous improvement are also essential qualities for the successful candidate.

Proficiency in GroundStar planning and rostering systems is desirable, as well as advanced numeracy skills, analysing, interpreting, and presenting numerical data for business insight.
