The Opportunity

In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary technical liaison, offering both business and technical consultancy to the sales team throughout the sales cycle. You will act as the bridge between clients and internal teams during the initiation of projects.

Your focus will be on implementing intricate, large-scale solutions for unique and strategic opportunities, while also providing technical guidance and mentorship to fellow Technical Consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-sales technical design and solution support to Business Development Managers and Account Executives.
  • Assist in managing responses to Requests for Tender (RFT), particularly within the Enterprise and Corporate IT sectors.
  • Contribute to the preparation of content for RFT responses regarding Hosting solutions and capabilities.
  • Provide thought leadership to clients and offer technical mentorship to other consultants.
  • Develop, modify, and oversee the Trusted Advisor program.
  • Engage in managed blogging, marketing, and public relations initiatives.

Ideal Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Macquarie Technology's infrastructure and solutions, as well as competitors' offerings.
  • Significant experience in hosting solutions, managed services, operations, network design, systems integration, or a technical support role is highly desirable.
