Our extensive network features a diverse range of 37,000 classic and digital signage options, strategically placed across roadside, retail, airport, and various place-based media environments including CBD office towers, cafés, fitness centers, bars, and educational institutions.
The Role:
Operating from our Steven Hills depot, you will collaborate with a team to deliver both proactive and reactive electrical and light box maintenance for oOh Street Furniture assets throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area. As the Electrical Maintenance Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure our assets are maintained in optimal condition and consistently illuminated. This includes conducting electrical audits and performing maintenance on advertising boxes, courtesy lighting, trip switches, totem poles, solar shelter panels, batteries, and more.
This position offers a dynamic work environment where each day presents new challenges. You will have a clear overview of your schedule and the flexibility to organize your day around the most efficient routes. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, with on-call duties from 4 pm to 8 pm and weekend shifts on a rotational basis (+1 RDO/month). Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive electrical safety and RCD inspections in compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Performing electrical fault maintenance and repairs on all assets. Logging and reporting all maintenance evaluations via a mobile application to the Team Leader. Participating in both new and ongoing building projects and contributing to the overall project delivery. Responding to road traffic incidents affecting assets to secure the site and ensure public safety until repairs can be executed. Actively promoting and adhering to Work Health Safety (WHS) policies and fostering a safety-conscious culture. A company vehicle, uniform, and all necessary equipment will be provided.The Experience:
To qualify for this position, you must hold a current, unrestricted A Class Electrical License that complies with Government regulations, and be available for occasional on-call and after-hours work as per the team’s roster. A full, valid Australian Driver's License is also essential.
Furthermore, you will excel in a collaborative environment while being capable of working independently, utilizing your initiative with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, a tech-savvy disposition, and adherence to WHS policies are critical for success in this role. Additionally, you must successfully pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test, license verification, and reference checks.
